Shipping & Delivery

At Brosgill Opticians we wish for your special purchases to arrive in perfect condition, therefore, our standard UK delivery is by Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery. This usually takes between 1-5 working days and we do not charge for this option. Please allow an additional 7 days for prescription lenses

We also offer Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery within the UK. Your order must be placed before 12pm and the basic cost is £7.95

Our Overseas Delivery costs are as follows:

Europe: £12.95

Rest of the World: £15.95

Our delivery costs are per order, not per item and a signature will be required at the point of delivery for all orders. When an order cannot be delivered, the parcel will be sent back to your local carrier centre and you will be left a card detailing how to arrange re-delivery or local pick up. If the carrier does not hear from you for around 5 days after a card has been left, they will return the package to us. Please note, if your parcel is damaged upon arrival contact :

Privacy & Security

Our check-out system is extremely secure. Card details are not stored and we also run checks on your billing address to make sure the cardholder address matches the one you are using to make a purchase. For dual protection, a personalised security code verified by MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa is required by some card issuers when you shop online. To set up an account contact your bank or card issuer and they will register your card.

Returns & Replacements

Order Cancellations:
Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations you have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from brosgillopticians.com and receive a full refund. Order cancellations must be made in writing to either of the addresses below, quoting your order number within 14 days.

If your order has already been shipped you will need to return the item to us as follows:

Return or Exchange an Item:
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase simply return the item / items to us in their original condition within 14 days of receipt. This does not apply to prescription eye-wear; custom made elements of your order, e.g. lenses, tints etc which are specific to you, cannot be refunded. If there is any indication that the item has been used, we will not accept it and return it to the purchaser. The item must be returned in its original packaging with any original documentation. We will issue a full refund on receipt of the item or an exchange if preferred.

Please note:
The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility.

Faulty Items:
If the item you have received is faulty please contact us on 0113 2663818 or info@brosgillopticians.com. Please quote your order number, name and address, details of the product and whether you require a refund or a replacement. We will then advise you on how to proceed with the return. You have 30 days from receipt of the faulty item to return it to us.

Received the Wrong Item:
If you have received the wrong item please contact us on 0113 2663818 or info@brosgillopticians.com. Please quote your order number, name and address, details of the product and whether you require a refund or a replacement. We will then advise you on how to proceed with the return. You have 30 days from receipt of the wrong item to return it to us.

Discount Codes:
If a discount was applied to your original order the amount refunded will be adjusted to allow for the revised order value and appropriate discount level.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

Customs Information

Recipients outside the EU will be responsible for any IMPORT DUTIES, CLEARANCE FEES and any other additional charges.

We operate on a DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) basis, this is managed by our carriers on a ‘pay on delivery' basis.

Sometimes goods may be subject to delays, due to customs or weather.

The customer is also responsible for providing any information required by customs to ensure the goods are cleared.

Please note that we are unable to refund any duty paid on items returned to us that are faulty or unsuitable.

Terms & Conditions of Monthly Prize

The Prize Draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 and over with the exception of employees of Brosgill Opticians or associated marketing organisations, their immediate families, agents or anyone else associated with the administration of this promotion. One winner will win a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses

The winning entry will be drawn at random, in the presence of an independent person, from all correct entries received by the closing date. 

No cash alternative will be offered. 

The draw will be made on the last day of each month.

The winner will be notified by e-mail/telephone no later than 28 days from the closing date of the Prize Draw.

Entries from third parties or agents are invalid.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

Proof of posting will not be accepted as proof of delivery. The promoter cannot accept responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the post.

One entry per person.

We reserve the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the prize draw if, in our sole discretion, the Prize Draw is not capable of being conducted as specified in the Prize Draw rules.
